Meet Kevin
Kevin was born and raised in Parma. Councilman Kussmaul is in his first term as Parma City Councilman for Ward 6. He attended the Parma City School District from Pre-K - 12th grade. Kevin is a proud PSCD graduate. He is also a two-time Normandy High Alum - '99 and '12 (Normandy High School had Preschool in the 1990s) and a Dentzler Alum - '06.
After leaving the PSCD in 2012, Kevin attended John Carroll University. While at JCU, Kevin studied a Business Ethics Course at Regents University in London and a Peace and Reconciliation Course at Queen's University in Belfast. In 2015 he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and in 2016 he graduated with Master of Business Administration. Kevin was able to complete his undergraduate degree in three years in a large part because of the A.P. classes he took at Normandy.
Kevin was appointed to the PCSD Board of Education in 2017. While a BOE Member Kevin worked to improve the District's image within the community while making sure his neighbors knew what the district was spending it's money on.
Kevin currently works as a Strategic Accounts Program Manager at a distribution company. He previously worked as Project Manager at a contract manufacturing company where he saw first hand the importance of Ohio's manufacturing industry. Kevin previously worked in the real estate appraisal industry. He has been a member of the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce since 2017 and a member of the Young Professionals of Parma since 2019. Kevin is also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 572.
